Personally, I'll continue to generate my own private lists using PHP. Twitter should stick to improving it's core service and leave it to 3rd-party developers to provide the enhancements via the Twitter API.

Re: Smarter Twitter Lists Make Smarter People

Ee - I know - I've found it tough representing a company when sometimes it doesn't matter if you're taking the most objective & fair position in the world, it's what people perceive...

I'm thinking of playing with a few picky-lists in private while I sort of calibrate the criteria and decide if it's actually worth it.

Re: Smarter Twitter Lists Make Smarter People

I definitely agree with your point that lists should be objective. This is why I treading very carefully when creating lists for @voicesdotcom - I've created a list of voice actors in general (like Jay Rosen I made a call for those who should be included to @ me and will do so again in the coming weeks), but I feel that there is value in creating a sort-of sub-list of the major VO players on Twitter, BUT I don't want to play favorites...wow. The more I think about it the more tricky it becomes. It can be difficult to be seen as objective when you're representing a company and serving and connecting with customers on Twitter.
