I definitely agree with your point that lists should be objective. This is why I treading very carefully when creating lists for @voicesdotcom - I've created a list of voice actors in general (like Jay Rosen I made a call for those who should be included to @ me and will do so again in the coming weeks), but I feel that there is value in creating a sort-of sub-list of the major VO players on Twitter, BUT I don't want to play favorites...wow. The more I think about it the more tricky it becomes. It can be difficult to be seen as objective when you're representing a company and serving and connecting with customers on Twitter.

Ee - I know - I've found it tough representing a company when sometimes it doesn't matter if you're taking the most objective & fair position in the world, it's what people perceive...
I'm thinking of playing with a few picky-lists in private while I sort of calibrate the criteria and decide if it's actually worth it.

I agree with @billdeys that Twitter was very late to the game with this "enhancement" to it's service. Personally, I'll continue to generate my own private lists using PHP. Twitter should stick to improving it's core service and leave it to 3rd-party developers to provide the enhancements via the Twitter API.
